Administration - Weekend 1
- Entry to the changing rooms and sports hall will be at1245 on Saturday and 0830 on Sunday with entry to the pool and sports hall 15 minutes prior to the start of the arm up. There are other users in the Leisure Centre so please do not crowd the turnstiles as they need to be able to get into their activity. The Café will be open all weekend.
- We need to split clubs between poolside and the sports hall to guard against overcrowding on poolside. Clubs located in the sports hall for weekend 1 are listed below. If your club is on the list, please ask swimmers to bring a chair if they have one and some additional layers as it can be slightly cooler than poolside. All swimmers should have footwear and a tracksuit when visiting the marshalling area.
Saturday: Ashford Town, Faversham, Herne Bay, Hythe
Sunday: Ashford School, Thanet, Folkestone
- The warmup for all 4 sessions has been supplied to all clubs. Swimmers need to be at the start end of the pool ready to start their warm up which will not be extended to accommodate late comers. There should be no diving at the beginning of each session but there will be an opportunity at the end of each block for sprint. The centre lanes will be available for continuous lane swimming for anyone who does not want to avail themselves of this opportunity.
- Swimmers will be marshalled for events in Studio 3 (adjacent to squash courts, under the stairs that lead up to the spectator gallery) and then will make their way poolside. They will need footwear and t-shirts in marshalling.
- There will be online withdrawals, and your club specific link has already been sent by Lynn. If you have not received it please ask Lynn for this now. Using this programme is very straightforward – when you open the link all swimmers entered will be listed, find the swimmer, click the red x against the race you wish to withdraw from (or select all swims). It will send a confirmation email to Lynn and to you. QR codes will be available on the weekend for the link which the coach on poolside can use if need be.
- If you have not already done so please send Lynn your registered personnel form – you are required to do this to comply with Swim England Safeguarding guidance.
- Parking is free but please ensure you park only within marked bays. Do not park on grass verges, paved areas or double yellow lines as you are highly likely to receive a penalty notice. Whilst the signage indicates max four-hour stay – permits to park longer must be displayed, these are available below..
- The Leisure centre is cashless, and this includes entry to the balcony. Cost for spectators £3 person or £5 for the weekend. Children free.
- There will be no printed programme, PDF version fof the meet programme are available below and can be downloaded if you wish to have a hard copy. Start lists will be supplied to all clubs once withdrawals have been processed, generally this is about 30 minutes after the start of the warmup.
- Live results can be accessed here. Start lists can also be viewed via Live results.
Finally, I would ask you to remind all your swimmers that Swim England has reinforced the seriousness of using mobile phones in the changing rooms. Carrying or using mobile phones or cameras in the changing rooms is strictly prohibited. Officials, coaches, volunteers, and swimmers are all subject to this rule. Devices must be securely stored in bags at all times while in or passing through the changing areas.
Parents are not allowed in the changing areas.
A full PDF version of the results for each session will appear below.
The top 5 male and female swimmers in each age will be invited to the Olympic Training Camp on December 28th and 29th.
